Shipping policy

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?

All items are made to order. Most standard parts can ship within 24 - 48 hours. Non-standard orders should ship within 2 weeks. Expected shipment dates are advisory only. 

Our shipping charges and methods are determined by the type of product ordered, dimensions and weight, and destination.

UPS/FedEx (under 70lbs) shipments will take 2 - 3 business days to be delivered after processing from when your order leaves our warehouses.

NON-FREIGHT ITEMS

Non-Freight Orders are mostly Strainers and smaller items. 

LTL shipments (over 70 lbs) can take 7 business days to be delivered. 

Note: A regulation for truck drivers is that they are not required to give assistance unloading. Please be prepared for this, as you are responsible for unloading the items. 

If needed, a lift gate service is often available at an additional cost.

HOW IS SHIPPING CHARGED

Shipping charges are calculated based on the actual weight, distance traveled, and type of shipping service.

All shipments are F.O.B. shipping point and ship prepaid. The size and weight of each item determines the shipping method. Items of differing sizes and weights may ship independently, using different methods, even if ordered together. 

CUSTOMER’S SHIPPING ACCOUNT

If you have a UPS or FedEx shipping account, please create a customer account, and we will accommodate your shipping requirements. Fill in your shipping information, and we will ship it per your instructions.

Collect Shipments - We will gladly ship via your specified carrier; however, we will not ship with certain carriers due to poor experience.

HOW WILL MY ORDER BE DELIVERED?

We use UPS/USPS Ground, UPS/USPS Second Day, UPS/USPS Next Day Air, or a truck freight line to ship your orders to you. 

DO YOU SHIP TO P.O. BOX ADDRESSES?

We cannot ship to P.O. Box addresses.

WHAT IS A LIFT-GATE CHARGE?

If you do not have the equipment to offload certain overweight items from the delivery truck, a truck with a lift gate must be assigned to deliver your order, and additional charges will apply. The lift-gate charge covers the cost of this special delivery.

A freight company usually contacts you 24-48 hours before delivery to make lift-gate arrangements. Please ensure your order has a valid daytime phone number or voicemail box set-up. If you have questions, contact Customer Service at help@boatstrainers.com, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm (CT). 

Shipments Damage and Loss:

Someone must be present to accept truck deliveries. Please be aware that delivery shipments often encounter rough handling, resulting in damage or loss. The shipment must be thoroughly inspected before signing the delivery document to hold the companies accountable. This includes inspecting for concealed damage.

Whether the shipment will be received by you, a colleague, or a customer, it must be inspected.

If the shipment receiver has a waiver with the LTL carrier for no signature required, this authorization removes and the carrier from any responsibility.

Damaged shipments must be refused or notated on the delivery document.

CLAIMS

The receiver must inspect the shipment before releasing the carrier. We are not responsible for damaged or lost products.

Freight claims for lost or damaged freight must be filed with the carrier and clearly noted on Bills of Lading when receiving shipments. This is necessary for your protection.

Although the responsibility is with the carrier, please notify us immediately so we may be of some assistance.

Shipping and handling are nonrefundable.

INTERNATIONAL SALES & SHIPPING

International Sales must be approved and paid in full before shipment.

Shipping and handling do not include any broker fees, customs fees, or taxes imposed on shipments entering the destination country, nor is DustFumeMist Warehouse liable for their payment.

FREIGHT ARRANGEMENTS:

International customers are responsible for managing their own international freight arrangements. We are willing to ship to a freight forwarder in the USA.

  • Additional shipping fees may be incurred for remote areas, large or bulky items, or items with hazardous materials. These fees will be displayed during the checkout process.
  • Please allow 1 to 2 business days for order processing (certain items require longer times as indicated on those product pages.)

Canada

Shipping to Canada incurs added fees, which are displayed during the checkout process. Taxes and duties are to be paid separately by customers.
